Fire modeling:

The fire modeling program used by the laboratory divides the structure into a multitude of separate small cubes. These numerical cubes are used to calculate such things as temperature, smoke generation and fire spread through a structure during the fire. These models have been highly useful in demonstrating temperatures and fire dynamics in fire investigation cases.
